The Friends wide range of activities engage the local population and councillors both local and further away, including district councillor for Rogate, Gillian Keegan, who is also the MP for Chichester

The decision to build over the land of Whitehouse Farm with 1600 dwellings (at least 5000 additional residents), enforced by the CDC (Chichester District Council) Local Plan, under the, Soviet style, National Planning Policy Framework dictated by Labour and Conservative governments is a significant disaster for Chichester, bringing an unsustainable increase in population to a town of 26,795 people (2011 census) which no amount of mitigation can make absorbable, and Linden Homes and Miller Homes have no intention of even trying to do more than the box ticked minimum of mitigation on the existing insufficient infrastructure.
Note - previous suggestion was for 2000 dwellings (at least 6000 additional residents) so expect a revision during the phasing of build on the current application

The greatest tragedy is that elsewhere the opportunists have been turned away at the outset and Whitehouse farm could have been a successful farm serving the town on its doorstep.

Sustainable transport access - no realistic proposal by the Developer - cheap is the rule, solutions available

School Playing fields - conflict of interest, the planning authority (CDC) owns a large part which this development frees up for building on

Surface Water Drainage - all problems on WHF caused by adjacent residents blocking or slowing egress

Waste water - Now to be the original proposal of a 7km Pipeline to Tangmere rather than collection by tankers from onsite tank for first 200 dwellings then build an onsite treatment plant

Councillors actions - excellent response from two representing the adjacent area and one from outside with integrity
